Government Contractors Achieve ISO 20000 Certification in 2.5 Months
US federal government contractors are required to prove ISO 20000 certification in order to compete for government contracts. ISO/IEC 20000 is the first international standard for IT Service Management. Formally: ISO 20000-1 ('part 1') "promotes the adoption of an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet the business and customer requirements." Recently Consult2Comply (now C2C SmartCompliance) was engaged by four organizations to provide ISO 20000 implementation services, so they could retain active status for serving the government's strict and highly prescriptive regulations and procurement guidelines.
How We Helped
Our consultants used our complete suite of compliance tools - Compliance Assessment Professional, Risk Asset Professional, and Compliance Mapper - to quickly position each contractor to be ISO 20000 certified.
In addition to achieving the required ISO certifications ahead of schedule, each company has improved its ability to manage IT operations and prove the implementation of best practices in conformance to federal contractual requirements prior to award, not to mention remaining competitive in the government contracting marketplace and guaranteeing revenue generation.
Why C2C SmartCompliance
"Once we demonstrated the capabilities of our compliance tool to the various internal IT staff at these government IT services providers, they understood we could deliver ISO 20000 certifications faster than anyone else," explained Steve Crutchley, Consult2Comply President and CEO. "And we did deliver in a matter of weeks, not years."
